Research Notes

The Series 2 was original introduced as a 3/4 Plate Model 1905 featuring 17 Jewels, adjusted to temperature and three positions. The nickel plates were damaskeened with a distinctive parallel stripe pattern. By 1909, the Series 2 had been upgraded to five positional adjustments. A few years later, the company discontinued the 3/4 Plate Series 2 and transitioned the series to the 1907 Bridge Model. In 1914, customers were still able to purchase the Series 2 as a 3/4 Plate in hunting configuration while all Series 2 watches produced in the bridge model were open face. Later examples feature an empty circle and arrow and “Series 2” markings.
